I’m Dr. Gwendolyn D. Pierce, and I am the founder and Executive Director of "P.R.A.Y.E.R.™ For The Youth, Inc. This ministry was established in 2008 and ordained by God to go forth to educate, demonstrate, and motivate to our young people the power of divine faith, the divine heavenly father, and the divine Holy Spirit. My vision and goal are to provide hope-filled Biblical principles, answers, and solutions to our youth, their parents, and everyone God entrusts in me to teach and serve. Romans 15:4 remonstrated “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” And my hope is to build the confidence in our youth and mentor the blueprint of Titus

Our youth come from many types of home environments and family structures, different socioeconomic levels, ethnic backgrounds, and neighborhoods, and schools across all communities. Some of the youth are overburdened with adult responsibilities, are shy, are depressed, have self-esteem issues, have anxiety, are under stress and peer pressure, suffer from the habits of drug and alcohol addiction, sex, gangs, SSA, or HIV/Aids, or are withdrawn or just not receiving enough individual attention from an adult who will listen. Their backgrounds and personalities are unique, but they all have a need for friendship with a caring adult with a caring heart who cares about their future and wellbeing.

P.R.A.Y.E.R.™ For The Youth is building confidence in young girls and teaches them how to be a woman. This makes a difference in their claiming a future for themselves and their personality traits instead of being a victim of circumstance for the rest of their lives.

P.R.A.Y.E.R.™ For The Youth is also building confidence in young boys, teaching them how to become a better man. It can make the difference in their claiming a future for themselves, instead of being a victim of statistics on lock-up for the rest of their lives. Allowing society to measure their ability, capability, and non-ability interferes with their ability to recognize their own emotions and relationship with Shalom (peace) within, with society, and with the Almighty Jehovah Jireh, our provider. I am in touch with their emotions to help solve their emotional problems with prayer, pastoral counseling, and mentoring, allowing them to get in touch with themselves and their identity to build up their self-esteem, motivation, and determination to be the courageous, progressive men God ordained them to be.

Our Vision
To participate in the process of leading the at risk youth of the community and church into a personal and 
vital relationship with self and Jesus Christ.

To provide a firm spiritual foundation for discernment in their faith; and to encourage, equip, and impassion them for discipleship and witness in family, church, community, and the world. 


The organization also offers innovative peer-based HIV/AIDS education for young people ages 12 to 18, known as LET’s TALK IT OUT!

Empowers and teaches young girls and boys as young as 12 about this killer disease called HIV/AIDs. Encourage them to stay a virgin and walk down the aisle in covenant and not to be rolled down the aisle in a coffin.

P.R.A.Y.E.R.™ will provide strong support and group counseling for the youth and transform the lifestyle of young girls into virtuous women of God and young boys into gentlemen, young warriors for Christ.

We produce supplemental program resources, recommend retreats and workshops, and other events to support the youth who are our future leaders.
